From March 12 to 15, 2016, the leaders of the Ukrainian, Russian and German Nehemia Teams met in Prague for consultations on the conflict in the Ukraine, the suffering caused by it, and the growing tensions, violence and separation resulting from it.

The participants showed a remarkable mutual respect and willingness to listen to each other and consider the vastly different positions and perceptions. Reports on the extent of the destruction and suffering especially in the Eastern Ukraine and on the plight of the countless refugees caused great consternation and concern. All parties were alarmed over the extent of violence and armament caused by this conflict.

A first result of the consultations was the drafting of a common statement called „Prague Declaration“.
